The Plant Studios Records team operated a recording studio based out of 2200 Bridgeway, Sausalito, California, United States from 1988 to 2008.
We are now operating as an independent record services company.
We have always been and will always be about the music.
^Our previous Sausalito location was originally built by The Record Plant in 1972. In 1978, the business changed ownership and operated as The Plant Studios. In 1987, Arne Frager, a respected recording engineer know for his work with Ray Brown, Norman Granz, Clare Fischer and many more artists moved to SF from LA and started bringing business to the studio, eventually becoming a partner. In 1988, he eventually took ownership, and brought the business out of bankruptcy. He then built a team of skilled personnel, who helped to facilitate the creativity of many music artists over the next twenty years.
