1. plasticLIFEcycle project no. LIFE21/ENV/PL/074161 titled “The solution for the management of mixed hard PLASTIC waste by applying Circular Economy approach”. Total budget: EUR 3,830,295.05 Contribution of the European Commission: EUR 2,298,177.03. Total project duration: 48 months (01/08/2022 - 31/07/2026). The project aims to maximize recycling of mixed hard plastic waste and to increase the uptake of recycled plastics in product manufacturing through an innovative solution for sorting of heterogeneous hard plastic waste stream into recyclable fractions (PLCtechnology) and two innovative alternatives for systemic uptake of recyclates in high-value products. The plasticLIFEcycle solution is the new business cooperation model, the PLCnetwork that covers the full hard-plastics value chain and reveals win-win approach for stakeholders by connecting municipal waste treatment plants, plastic recyclers and converters into circular system in order to increase the uptake of recycled plastics in product manufacturing. The new business cooperation can only be practicable when novel PLCtechnology is integrated as the heart of the system. PLCtechnology is an innovative solution for sorting of heterogeneous hard plastic waste into recyclable fractions and the use of residual non-recyclable plastics for energy production in LIFEtec gasification. The heart of PLCtechnology is the 3-PHASE HYDROSTATIC VERTICAL SEPARATOR developed by IVE driven by the idea to maximize COST EFFICIENCY in both investment and maintenance while having satisfactory performance.
