Plásticos GAMOZ fue fundada por tres socios, que habían trabajado por muchos años en la Transnacional POLYMER. La planta inició operaciones con 11 empleados, desde sus inicios en agosto de 1985 esta pequeña planta comenzó a dar utilidades, a pesar de que funcionaba en un edificio alquilado que para esos tiempos podía considerarse bastante caro, en la actualidad Plásticos GAMOZ cuenta con su moderno plantel localizado en el Sector Búfalo, desvío al Calan frente a Kimberly Clark, genera 150 empleos directos y permanentes, debidamente capacitados para lograr una producción con las normas de calidad y seguridad que requieren sus distintos clientes.
