About Plastic Wave Project
We’re a grassroots non-profit organization that is dedicated to educating the public about the harmful effects plastic pollution has on our oceans and coastlines in hopes of creating healthy, plastic-free waterways. Our goal is to break the plastic habit by empowering individuals to live sustainably while creating meaningful connections to the ocean. We believe that real connections are the best way to inspire meaningful change to help our planet. These connections allow us to shift from an egocentric to an ecocentric frame of mind. Only when we connect with nature do we fully understand the significance of loving and protecting her. So HOW on EARTH do we do this? Our team hosts educational and ocean inspired community events such as local beach clean-ups, art exhibitions, and educational programs that get the community outside and involved in ocean and coastline conservation. Our events and programs are created with the purpose to encourage individuals in the local community and beyond to incorporate sustainability into their everyday lives. Individual actions create ripple effects and it’s these ripples that begin to MAKE WAVES!
