Platform Thinking

👋 Hello! I’m Sheila Chang, author of the book Platform and API Management: Strategy and Discovery for Non-Technical Product Managers. I have been working with digital products for over 20 years. I started as a Product Designer and, naturally, took on Product Manager responsibilities. Platform product management, however, happened by accident when I was hired at iFood to manage a so-called "technical product" that, only when I got there, I discovered were APIs. What I had to learn about the technical aspects to manage the platform where iFood orders are processed, combined with my experience in design and product management, resulted in the book. In fact, it's the first book on this topic in Brazil, and there's nothing like it anywhere else in the world! The next step is to help people who prefer different learning methods or want to accelerate the process of implementing what they’ve learned in the book. To do this, I’ve created a line of courses, workshops, and mentoring (both individual and for teams) with the same approach and purpose that led to the book. I’m calling this collection of training Platform Thinking. Platformize yourself with me! Platform Thinking from someone who has done it in practice.
