Platoon One Films is India’s leading independent film studio founded by Berlinale Talents Shiladitya Bora with over 15 years of experience in film production and distribution. Notable productions include YOURS TRULY (Busan 2018), PICASSO (winner of the Indian National Award 2021), GHAATH (Berlinale 2023). The studio also distributed SIR (Cannes Critics Week 2018). Platoon One’s upcoming film BAYAAN, developed at LA Residency of Global Media Makers - Film Independent, also a winner of Hubert Bals Fund with India’s top talent HUMA QURESHI as the lead cast is currently in post-production. We at Platoon One Films believe in backing director’s vision and empowering them to create a film that will be a breakout success for all. We are committed to ‘Newer Stories, Newer Voices.’ Along with our ongoing film productions and film distribution, we're committed to expanding our state-of-the-art post-production facility, Platoon FX, globally. We have recently incorporated Platoon One Inc at Oakland, California, and are actively exploring opportunities to expand our reach into the North American market. We wish to produce genre-bending films and disruptive narratives that will redefine the boundaries of storytelling. Our aspiration is to introduce high-quality South Asian cinema to a global audience.
