OUR BOLD MISSION Love in action is observable love. It is a BOLD love. One of which selflessly goes above & beyond for the good of others. The acronym, which stands for “Beyond Ourselves Love Does,” encompasses what our organization is all about. We unite collegiate student-athletes & coaches to use their platforms to launch others. To BOLD-ly step outside themselves & empower those in need. To not just perfect the craft of making baskets, but to practice empathy as though it were sport. Play BOLD utilizes these groups of athletes & coaches to transport goods & supplies to underprivileged countries. Our team raises funds & travels around the world yearly to plant basketball courts & empower youth through sport. Sport is central to every culture & society & is core to an individual’s health & happiness. We believe that through sport, we have the power to change lives. Play BOLD aims to create an environment that is both safe & inspiring. In these communities, Play BOLD also creates opportunities to teach classroom education & life skills. For those children in dire circumstances, we create a hope for the future through childhood sponsorship programs with our global partners. Play BOLD’s sports ministry is Christ centered. We seek to bring about the transformation of children & young adults in mind, body, spirit & situation by being an example of Jesus Christ.
