Play Lacrosse

Play Lacrosse is a Not-for-profit focused on providing children with the opportunity to participate in Canada’s national sport while building a foundation for an active life and skills that are transferable to other sports. Physical Literacy experts are now encouraging children to participate in multiple sports and distance themselves from sport specialization. Lacrosse develops a variety of athletic elements, including exceptional hand-eye coordination, that translates well to other sports including basketball, baseball, soccer, and of course hockey. Play Lacrosse provides an opportunity to learn and play anytime, anywhere, and without the need to purchase expensive equipment. Play Lacrosse creates a fun and dynamic environment that develops skills needed for future success in lacrosse and other sports. Focusing on basic fundamental skills; scooping, cradling, catching, passing, and shooting, children are constantly engaged and learning on-the-fly. Traditionally viewed as a physical at risk sport, Play Lacrosse introduces lacrosse to children through non-contact lesson plans creating a safe learning environment. Play Lacrosse is dedicated to introducing lacrosse to thousands of children who might not otherwise be exposed to the sport, with a focus on fun!
