Playlo - Win Money With a Song

Playlo is a mobile app that gamifies music discovery giving more exposure to emerging artists and where users can win money with their favourite songs. By collecting tracks from over 150 diverse sources, including streaming platforms, DJs, radio stations, blogs, and magazines, Playlo brings together the best music across 18 different genres. The app then creates a competition where users anonymously rate tracks. If a user knows a great song, they can submit it and join the game. At the end of the month, if their song makes it to the top 10, they can win up to $1,000. To make the game unpredictable and to prevent Taylor Swift from winning all the time, the algorithm is designed to favor underground music.
