We created Plume to offer users a frictionless payment experience at points of sales, without extension of self.
For businesses, it automates checkout processes, reduces employee need, decrease transaction fees and save costs.
Plume is composed of a small palm vein sensor that is recorded to existing payment terminals in shops. The user simply places his hand over the scanner, which emits a near infra-red light to read 5 Million points inside a user’s hand palm. The image is compared against the database to search for a match. If it matches, the authentication is approved by Plume and the user’s bank approves the payment.
The global non-cash transaction market will grow from 101B € in 2015 to 140Bn € in 2020.
The transactions processed by retail payment systems in EU amounted to 51Bn transactions for a value of 41 Trillion € in 2015.
