Moore's Law- "Transistor" At the heart of every computer chip is the transistor, which is essentially a switch that can turn on or off an electrical current. Computers read that flow of current as instructions for executing different jobs. The more transistors on a chip, the faster this information is created, allowing for more complex devices, software, operating systems and apps.
