Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team members are on call, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to rescue walkers and climbers from the mountains and dales of Patterdale. Members have mountaineering, technical rope skills, and local knowledge. Many have expertise in specialist mountain casualty care, emergency off and on-road driving and water rescue skills. The Team has around 30 active members as well as a number of probationers under training at any one time.
