PMT Machines Limited is one of the leading Indian manufacturing companies diversified into various sectors, viz. machine tools, oil and gas, engineering projects & contract manufacturing in India, successfully operating for more than 60 years. PMT was started in 1961 as Traub India a subsidiary of Traub Germany. The manufacturing unit was acquired by PMTML in 1979. The company later absorbed technologies from various German and Swiss machine tools companies like Voumard, Fortuna, Mikrosa, and Pittler to manufacture world-class Turning and Grinding machines in India. PMT has state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities located at Pimpri, Pune spread over a sprawling area of 47,346 sq. meters. In 2007, PMT acquired Elb India at Halol to manufacture high precision Surface Grinding Machines in India.
