POCACOV (Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices) is a preventive policing initiative of the Inspector General of Police, dedicated to protecting, mentoring, and empowering communities. We do not police the community; we stand with it, working hand in hand with stakeholders to guide young minds away from crime and towards opportunities for growth.
At POCACOV, we believe that true security begins with prevention, education, and empowerment. Our mission is to sensitize, advocate, and rehabilitate, ensuring that young people understand the dangers of cultism, drug abuse, and social vices—before they become victims of them.
We are the compassionate, proactive arm of the Nigeria Police Force, reaching out through schools, religious groups, community leaders, and families to foster a culture of discipline, responsibility, and positive engagement. Our approach is rooted in partnership, not enforcement—because we believe that a safer society is built through understanding, not fear.
