About Pockets of Promise
Our mission is to provide quality education and nutrition to children in impoverished communities. Inspired by a video in 2009, our Founder Adwoa started Pockets of Promise, along with Ernest and Henry in 2013, on her trip to India, where she provided scholarships and school supplies to children in the slums of Tirupati, India. Since then, Pockets of Promise (formerly known as the Bridge Foundation) helped thousands of children obtain critical food and school supplies. We’ve established after school programs and feeding programs in the countries we serve because education gives children a fighting chance to one day escape poverty and live better lives. Today, we help more than 150 children and their families in four countries. Our work is 100% grassroots and our founder covers all operational costs, so donations go directly to communities. With local knowledge, we work together with our supporters to ensure that children and families in impoverished communities in Ghana, Uganda, India, and Nepal have what they need to survive, thrive, and grow their dreams—with a focus on children’s education and infrastructure that benefits children.
