Pocket Lobbyist

We started The Pocket Lobbyist because we fundamentally believe that knowledge is power. Lobbying is a legitimate and regulated activity, however, it is often seen as an insider’s game, where access and understanding are limited to those that have connections inside of the government. This means lobbying can be understood to be a profession where political insiders charge substantial fees for access. This model of cash-for-access is still around today and deployed by some, but it’s no longer an effective strategy to ensure organizations are positioned for long-term success. It is also contrary to society's current direction: more transparency, less concentration of power at the top, and the democratization of knowledge and ideas. We launched The Pocket Lobbyist because we believe that government should not be impossible to understand; neither should politics.
