Interreg Spain-Portugal (POCTEP)

The Operational Program for Cross-Border Cooperation Spain-Portugal (POCTEP) belongs to the Interreg initiative of the European Commission and works, through the European Regional Development Fund, to develop projects along the Union's largest internal border. In the current period 2014-2020, the POCTEP acts on four priority axes: promotion of innovation, business competitiveness, risk prevention and improvement of natural resources management as well as the improvement of the institutional capacity and efficiency of public administration. All this in 6 areas of cooperation: Galicia / North of Portugal; North of Portugal / Castilla y León; Castilla y León / Central Portugal; Center / Extremadura / Alentejo; Alentejo / Algarve / Andalusia
