Our pedigree It all started back in the 1970s when our founder’s father, John Rainbow, established a specialist design and manufacturing engineering business in South London. Coming from a family of cart makers, John developed powered carts/mobile workstations as soon as more affordable inverted power solutions emerged in the 1980s. John’s son, Tony Rainbow, trained as an electro-mechanical engineer, learning the ropes from his father and elsewhere, before starting Falcona with co-founder Jacob Boston, a software engineer and maths whizz from New Zealand. Manufacturing is done in the UK and overseas. Focus is on providing comprehensive and sustainable solutions to real problems faced by companies, based on auto id and retail technology that is well ahead of the curve.
