JSC Machine-Building Factory of Podolsk (JSC ZiO) is one of the leading Russian enterprises of power engineering with more than 100 years of history.
It traces its history back to 1919. In April 1936 the factory was assigned the name of Ordzhonikidze – people’s commissar of heavy industry. Since 1992 JSC Machine-Building Factory of Podolsk (JSC ZiO) became the successor of the Factory named after Ordzhonikidze having saved its traditions, engineering assets and augmented experience of several generations of boiler-makers.
ZiO produced over 900 branded steam boilers of various capacities and performances for 190 foreign and domestic thermal power plants with a total capacity over 85 mln. kW, including more than 16 mln. kW for export. Today, our boilers are being successfully operated at thermal power plants in Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Vietnam, Germany, Greece, Kazakhstan, China, Romania, former countries of Yugoslavia, etc.
