ELY-keskukset edistävät alueellista kehittämistä hoitamalla valtionhallinnon toimeenpano- ja kehittämistehtäviä alueilla. Pohjois-Karjalan ELY-keskus on yksi 15:sta alueellisesti toimivasta ELY-keskuksesta. Tehtävämme jakaantuvat kahteen osa-alueeseen: elinkeinot, työvoima ja osaaminen sekä ympäristö ja luonnonvarat. Toimialueenamme on Pohjois-Karjala. Osaavien asiantuntijoidemme ja tiiviin kumppanuusverkostomme avulla teemme töitä alueemme elinvoimaisuuden ja hyvinvoinnin edistämiseksi. Finland has a total of 15 ELY Centres. They are tasked with promoting regional competitiveness, well-being and sustainable development and curbing climate change. The Centres for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment steer and supervise the activities of the Employment and Economic Development Offices (TE Offices). Networking with other actors in the region is the starting point for our activities. The best ways to achieve impact and reach targets are good co-operation and effective use of resources.
