Polaris Securities was founded in 1988 as a stock brokerage firm. On the strength of innovation and professionalism, the company has become a leading service provider of on-line financial management and new financial products in the domestic market. Polaris also takes more than 15% market share in the on-line trading brokerage industry, the overall net assets worth above NT$300 billion. We are one of the top three securities firms in Taiwan and have been named the e-business with the greatest potential in Taiwan. Under the flagship of Polaris Group, our affiliated businesses cover the fields of investment consulting, investment trust, asset management, futures, and information management. When the trading of warrants was first open in 1997, Polaris was the first securities firm allowed by the regulatory authority to issue warrants, and led the industry in the introduction of reset, in-the-money, and capped call warrant products. In 2001, soon after we obtained the permission to engage in convertible bond (CB) asset swap from the regulatory body, we were the first securities firm to complete the CB asset swap transaction in the primary market. Aside from financial products, our operating philosophy emphasizing on innovation and professionalism is also manifested in trading mode. In anticipation of the application and the trend of e-commerce, we embarked on the deployment of on-line financial service network. Currently we are the leader in on-line trading, taking the top spot three years in a row in on-line stock trading and more than 50% market share in on-line futures trade, far ahead of any other competitor in the industry.
