About Department of Political Science at DUTh

The Department of Political Science was founded in 2019 and is one of the four departments of the Faculty of Social, Political and Economic Sciences of the Democritus University of Thrace. The Department deals with the study of politics, governance, public policies and international relations. Its purpose is to understand political and international relations. It also aims to understand and analyse political phenomena such as the functioning of the political system, political ideologies, social inequalities and the decision-making process at local, national and international levels.
