PolyCatUK is an Oxford based start-up founded by Bill Paterson, who has spent the last 30 years in product development for medical devices, focusing on intravascular continuous sensors for temperature, oxygen, carbon dioxide and pH. He has developed an economic, scalable process to produce metal nanoparticle catalysts on a polymer substrate, allowing for catalytic solutions unencumbered by most of their previous restrictions. This has led to applications with the potential to cost-disrupt several large market sectors, including fruit preservation.
