The NTUA Students' Online Community (polytexneio.gr) was created in 18 September 2005 by a group of NTUA Students. The NTUA Students' Online Community (polytexneio.gr) is an exclusive NTUA engineering community meaning that only members of the NTUA student body and academia are permitted to register and only once. The NTUA Students' Online Community (polytexneio.gr) members are divided into three distinct groups: members, seeders and staff. Every member can easily become seeder by actively participating in the community, but staff members are selected and appointed only by older staff members. Seeders account for roughly two-thirds (2/3) of the community members, but staff members for less than 0,2%. The NTUA Students' Online Community organizes many social events, athletic tournaments, seminars and presentations ranging from career fairs and inter-university presentations to online interactive interviews with the Dean Candidates and paintball tournaments.
