PolyU Department of Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering

The Department of Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering (AAE) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University was established in July 2016. We are committed to educate students with solid foundation and state-of-the-art knowledge in aeronautical and aviation engineering to cope with the increasing demand for high-level workforce and professionals in the aviation and aerospace industry in Hong Kong, Greater Bay Area and Asia-Pacific region. Our two undergraduate programmes and the newly launched taught postgraduate programme (available in 2022/23 academic year) impart in-depth academic and professional knowledge to students. AAE Graduates are equipped with sharpened practical, analytical, problem-solving, communication and leadership skills. AAE strives to play a leading role to bridge the innovative research and development with the needs and demand of the industry. The close collaboration with the industry, together with the excellent facilities and staff expertise, enable the sustainable growth and competitiveness of our various stakeholders including students and industrial partners.
