Ponder Volunteer Fire Department contracts with the Town of Ponder and Denton County to provide fire, medical, and other emergency services both in Ponder and surrounding unincorporated Denton County. Ponder Volunteer Fire Department's District is approximately 68 square miles.
PVFD also assists our fellow "West Siders" in Sanger, Krum, and Justin as needed and can sometimes be found filling in for agencies around the county due to Mutual Aid Agreements that allow for departments to assist each other on calls.
