The Poolshark Protocol is a set of smart contracts that allows users to place directional bets on the market in the form of buy-and-hold LP strategies.
Uniswap, Curve, and other popular AMMs employ mean-reversion strategies, which disallows users from capturing the same benefits as simply holding the appreiciating asset.
Poolshark allows users to recapture these lost profits compared to buy-and-hold by offering two main primitives:
Cover: unlocks liquidity based in response to TWAP moves, allowing uses price protection.
Price: allows users to send a Range Order that functions as a Take-Profit strategy, where any liquidity received into the position is held instead of being recycled back into the pool. This enables users to for example buy USDC between 0.98 and 0.99 and keep any of the USDC they acquire in this range.
