As an amalgamation of two highly respected and experienced fabrication companies, Portobello Fabrications Ltd and RMF Engineering Ltd, Portobello-RMF continues to deliver an exceptional service and push the boundaries of innovation within the industry. Following the amalgamation that took place in 2009, Portobello-RMF is a privately owned company with full control of its own finances and asset base.
Portobello-RMF specialises in the mechanical design, thermal design and fabrication of process plant equipment. Our skilled expertise applies to a broad range of fabrications, such as heat exchangers, pressure vessels, skid packages, pipework and other bespoke, special and high integrity fabrications, all to meet the requirements of international design codes, ASME, EN13445, PD5500 and client specifications.
Portobello-RMF has particular expertise in the production of pressure vessels and heat exchangers. This specialism extends to shell and tube heat exchangers, pressure vessels, columns, tanks, reactors and other process plant equipment across a wide range of materials and in accordance with recognised international design codes. In turn, these fabrications serve a diverse market that includes Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food, power generation, water, defence and nuclear industries. Portobello-RMF has a well-established reputation for quality products, and is accredited to ISO9001-2015. Portobello –RMF is also one of the few companies in the UK approved to Lloyds rules for ships.
