Positive Directions N.E. (CIC)

Positive Directions N.E is a Community Interest Company (CIC) with charitable aims and objectives, that delivers community projects and provides supported housing for people who are disadvantaged across County Durham and Teesside. A key focus for the work of Positive Directions N.E is to recognise and embrace the value of lived experience, and to provide support and opportunities for those who need an extra helping hand. Positive Directions N.E staff and directors have a shared passion and blend of experience with an overarching vision: ‘Making a difference for individuals and communities’. Positive Directions N.E. (CIC) works with a range of adults and young people aged 16 and over who need to change direction or focus due to challenging personal circumstances. We work across a range of settings including education, health, criminal justice and local communities. We are passionate about working with people to enable them to make and sustain positive changes in their lives. We pride ourselves on having the skills, understanding and empathy to support and guide people in the right direction. We focus on teaching people empowerment, mindfulness, coping strategies and listening skills.
