About Finnish Postal Museum - Postimuseo

The Finnish Postal Museum conducts research, records and exhibits phenomena related to the history of communication and goods traffic created by postal services. Collections of the Postal Museum comprise a large number of objects and images as well as all stamps issued in Finland and various philatelic special collections. The Museum hosts Finland's only public library specializing in philately and postal history, where researchers, philatelists and all interested have access to books and extensive archives. The exhibition Messengers at museum centre Vapriikki casts light on the history of the Finnish postal services from various points of view. In addition to the permanent exhibition, the Museum arranges special exhibitions on numerous topics and also interesting events. We collaborate extensively with schools, preschools and adult groups.
