POTT-POURRI is a "curvy" size label following the aesthetics of minimalist fashion. We understand that comfort is important both at a physical and emotional level. Our silhouettes are simple with a lot of layering done, but still keeping in mind the body type we work for.
Our collection is built on earthy, dull or pastel hues with fabrics ranging from hand loom, linen, malmals, cotton-jute etc., adding to the very essence of the label. It's been over a year since we entered the sustainable market by developing and weaving our own fabrics right from the roots of West Bengal. The woven fabrics are the finest variety of Bengal Hand loom cotton and khadi, giving our label the exclusivity required.
UP-CYCLED CLOTHING
As a designer I’ve always felt the need to be socially responsible, it is no news that the garment industry is itself responsible for a huge amount of fabric and dye waste generation. At POTT-POURRI we follow a religious method of recycling and reusing fabrics to make “PATCH” jackets, linings, cushions from scraps.. The process not only helps in breaking the monotony of the designs but also reduces wastage of fabrics by a remarkable percentage.
SIZES - Our sizes start from a 46 chest size or as you may call it size 18 because of the niche category we deal in. It could go up to any size as per the requirement of the client. And in most cases the price point remains the same irrespective of the increase in size. We mostly work on ANTI-FITS.
BODY POSITIVE
If we look at the current scenario, we can finally see magazines, runways, showing more acceptance and becoming representative about all sizes. It is amongst all this that the term “BODY POSITIVE’ is gaining popularity and redefining what the society sees as an ideal body.
The first way of making it more mainstream is by not addressing it as “plus size” for its identification and considering it like any other size number. We don’t emphasize the size when it comes to small, medium, large or XL
