Poverty Reduction and Development Association (PRDA)

The company is found during 17/01/1984 pursuant to Ethiopian Charity Association Agency by Mr. Abate Adamu Kasse.; the previous street dweller young. The establishment is: on the instant is lasted for 10 years by the assignment name of Poverty Reduction up to 1994, and then by the assignment name of Poverty Reduction in Ethiopia Strategy Association lasted up to 1997, and then during 1996 it is determined to suspend job and dissolve by a decision of Board and General Assembly due to lack of capacity and finance, is joined with the association named Society’s Charity Organization and during 17/01/1998 Society’s Poverty Reduction Charity Strategic Association and lasted up to 06/2003 and finally from 2004 and up to date is known for Poverty Reduction and Development Association (PRDA) has in progress and nonprofit organization and free of any political affiliation and religious organization in Ethiopia. The Main reason for the changes made consequently is due to illegal activities performed to protect and regulate with the individuals like supporter, managers the users of the Organization and illegal person that exposed to the Organizational various documents, Photograph, ID. From establishment for about 26 years has been solving various interdisciplinary social and economical problems is solved for more than 80,000 social groups. And currently the association has entered a contract with Kefa Governmental Sector Organization and Operational Projects to provide for more than 2,600 vulnerable and we faced challenges due to the financial, materials and human resource scarcity and unable to attain the goal set out; Because the source of income depend on more that 90% on the members contribution. The organization has funded ETB 264,000.00 with volunteer individuals named Bob Marley family and Rohan Marley and his Wife’s Loran Heal., the tenure of the Company is bought in Addis Ababa, Gulele Sub City, House Number 743, at the Special name called ate the back of Kechene Medhanialem Church, area of the plot 621 meter square the full compound from private owner and Branch Offices at Bahir Da, Adama, Jimma, Hawassa and Addis Ababa are opened and is the Organization that has been in activity progress. The Organization is to coalition of two companies with similar target objectives, it is outstanding indigenous organizations.
