The Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority has in the bid to connect businesses to effective procurement systems, designed the PPDA Business Expo.
The expo provides companies with a unique platform to inform, educate and network with various stakeholders. It also assists providers in tapping into opportunities that public procurement offers to accelerate recovery from the social-economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The goal of the expo is to enhance companies ' understanding of the PPDA processes and systems geared towards delivering procurement effectively while at the same time allowing these companies to exhibit, collaborate and grow which are today’s engines of growth.
The Uganda government annually spends up to 60% of its budget on Public Procurement of a vast range of goods, services, supplies and works making it a desirable marketplace for any provider looking to develop new business opportunities which make the expo a much-needed platform for entities in the private and corporate sectors, multi-national agencies, government ministries, departments and agencies and the general public.
