About People's Participation for Sustainable Interventions - PPSI

People’s Participation for Sustainable Intervention (PPSI) is a youth organization founded in 2019 to advance the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Zambia especially through the engagement of youths and women. PPSI, uses the army of youth and women to implement sustainable projects and avoid misdirecting youth’s energies to unprofitable ventures and vices that are bound to take the world backwards. The organization believes that young people have the energy, creativity and will to champion the implementation of sustainable development goals both in Zambia and abroad. Further, it also believes that when women are empowered and knowledgeable, the whole family benefits. PPSI’s mission is therefore to place women and youth at the center of sustainable development. PPSI uses the triple bottom line approach to implement several SDGs. The work we do at our Non-Profit Organization is aimed at providing a holistic approach to solving some of our society’s biggest challenges. We make sure our partners are empowered by creating opportunities for youth, women and communities at large. Currents PPSI works of the following SDGs: 1. CLIMATE ACTION (SDG 13): climate change awareness, mitigation, adaptation and impact reduction, waste management. 2. GENDER EQUALITY SDG (5) Focus areas: Gender disparities in education and workplace at all levels, violence against women and girls in the public and private spheres. Child, early and forced marriage.
