We all talk about organic farming, well here’s a farmer who has gone beyond organic to “natural farming”. An ecosystem that sustains within itself. We at PRAORGANICS are on a mission to reduce the use of chemicals and create a healthy & happy community. A farm has chicken, fish, and bees besides the produce of turmeric, ginger, spices, lemons, amla, etc. Well here’s a living legend in Kangra district, retired Colonel PC Rana ( 76 years old ) better known as the “Turmeric man of Himachal” A para commando and a black belt in Kung Fu trained in Japan. In addition, he has close to 1500 boxes of honey bees which not only do wonders at our farm in terms of boosting the produce but also are highly beneficial to the forest. Our farm is in a barren forest and he draws water from below specific trees, uses it in his farm, and gives it back to the trees. Our drip system and bees have made the forest green & full of birds and animals. Over 1500 farmers have been attached to us. Who buys the seeds from us we provide them with organic seeds and fertilizers & buy back the produce from them. On our farm, we also have solar dryers and processing/packaging plants in the vicinity. He also pickles turmeric, ginger, lemon & garlic & every ingredient is off his farm. All his products are sold online by Gaurav International. Trust me if you consume once, you shall be hooked for the rest of your life. Gaurav International is using mainly packing materials that are not made of plastics or using packing recommended by the government. We use paper bags glass bottles and jars.
