Think about it—if Amazon automates every warehouse and delivery job, and those workers no longer have incomes, how can they afford to shop on Amazon? It’s a cycle that could spiral into economic collapse.
Fewer jobs → less consumer spending → businesses failing despite increased productivity.
Some argue that AI will create new jobs. Maybe. But will it create more jobs than it eliminates? And will they be accessible to the people who just lost theirs?
This isn’t just a business issue. It’s a societal one—affecting employers, workers, governments, and future generations. If we don’t address this paradox now, it could threaten not just the future of AI, but the stability of our entire economy.
