Prairie Mud Service

Prairie Mud & Chemical Services Ltd. was incorporated in 1976 by Ray Frehlick in Estevan, Saskatchewan. Ray Frehlick had been previously involved in Saskatchewan and the northern United States as a Fluids Engineer and Operations Manager for 23 years. He felt the area could support a full service mud company. In 2002, Prairie Mud Service Partnership was formed and expanded into Manitoba, North Dakota, Montana, and Alberta. Offices are located in Williston, Swift Current, Estevan, Lacombe and Calgary, with warehousing in Kindersley, Lloydminster, and various locations throughout Alberta. Prairie Mud supplies and services salt and fresh water based, polymer and oil based systems. We also assist our customers in developing completions and CO2 kill systems. Due to industry demand in March 1999, Prairie Mud established an Environmental Division whose primary goal is to undertake an environmentally safe and responsible course of management for drilling fluids and their associated wastes. The Environmental Division's responsibilities include sampling, analysis, and documentation involving both on-lease and off-lease disposal methods, as well as pre-site assessments of private lands. We are a respected and competitively priced company providing superior service to Major, Junior, and Private Oil and Gas companies.
