Founded by the renowned MIT neuroscientist Pawan Sinha in 2005, Project Prakash has allowed numerous children to achieve a brighter future by providing outreach, medical intervention, education, and training to foster their independence and integration into their communities. Through its innovative treatment, the Foundation has also illuminated a greater understanding of sight and the human brain, providing essential knowledge to inform new public health policies and regional medical practices.
