There are many reasons why a person and/or a team choose to work with a coach, here are some of the main ones - there is something at stake (a challenge, a goal and/or an opportunity) and it is important or urgent or exciting or all of these aspects together - there is a gap in awareness, skills there is a lack of awareness, skills, confidence and resources - there is a desire to achieve results more effectively - there is a lack of clarity in the person with regard to the choices to be made - the person is very successful and this success is starting to become problematic - there is a lack of work-life balance and this is leading to undesirable consequences - the person has not identified their core potential and does not know how to use it to best effect - there is a need and desire to be better organised and to be able to manage themselves better - the way of relating to others is not effective
