Praxis - The Handcrafted Beer. Inaugurated on April 24, 2009, the Praxis brewery was created to recover the old tradition of brewing in Coimbra, taking advantage of the excellent properties known by the waters of Coimbra. The master brewer carefully selects batches of barley, wheat and hops to use in creating beers that have a natural fermentation process and without addition of chemicals (so you can get a 100% crafted beer). The curious can watch all the stages for the production of beer Praxis here. Are available four beers: Weiss (cloudy and very dense), Pilsener (pale, light and refreshing), Dunkel (dark and very roasted) and Amber (red hair, a refreshing flavour but dense). There is also a fifth beer that is seasonal and goes by the name of Strong (beer full bodied, complex flavors and aromas, the fruit of a long process of maturation). Praxis also includes a restaurant space, style brasserie where guests can enjoy delicacies such as Praxis Beer a good steak, pork knuckle, Frenchy, German sausage, or just some snacks, always accompanied by the traditional beer.
