Welcome to Precision, a vast departure from the way clinical trials have been run in the U.S.. In traditional models, Sponsors work with CROs to identify hundreds of sites to run a trials program in hopes of meeting enrollment goals. Up to 40% of these sites never enroll a patient, while others lack the infrastructure to ensure quality and consistent performance. At the end of the day both Sponsor’s budget and timelines are compromised.
Precision exists for one reason, to help bring great new therapeutics to the patients who desperately need them… quicker. Precision has partnered with some of the top IBD clinical research sites throughout the U.S. to change the paradigm. In this Centrally Integrated Research Network or CIRN, sites will divest themselves of many of the aspects of a traditional research program that can impede their ability to do what they do best, identify and enroll patients. Precision, LLC will handle, centrally much of the work and complexity of running a research site. Everything from study identification to startup all the way through closeout will be centralized, with one point of contact for sponsors.
The sponsor will see an abbreviated time period to begin their study at the consortium sites, have agreed upon enrollment numbers and timelines, and be provided timely metrics related to study performance at the sites. Equally as important, quality will be consistent and measured throughout sites, allowing for decreased queries and cleaner data in the end.
