DCRI's Preference Evaluation Research Group (PrefER) faculty and staff are recognized thought leaders in applying cutting-edge quantitative stated-preference methods in healthcare. We closely collaborate with partners from industry, regulatory authorities, nonprofit organizations, and clinicians in developing effective patient-centric survey instruments using rigorous health-preference measures. Our research informs device and medical product development, clinical trial design, regulatory decision-making, payment and coverage policies, and clinical decision-making. We are highly experienced experts in understanding and quantifying risk tolerance, treatment adherence, quality of life, burden of illness, patient satisfaction, time-equivalent value, and willingness-to-pay. Our team of experts has extensive experience in designing and conducting regulatory benefit-risk evaluations across a broad range of therapeutic areas. In support of bringing the patient voice into healthcare decision-making, we are committed to developing and validating decision-support tools that enable patients and physicians to make informed healthcare decisions that align with patient preferences.
