The Prekend is a student run newsletter that aims to empower students voices and the shine a light on the issues of marginalized communities. Co founded by Victor Yang and Kelsi Lo. The Prekend has reached 6000+ views over 5 countries and has weekly bipartisan reporting on events in sports, entertainment, tech etc. It also serves as a platform where our student staff is taught skills in journalism such as recognizing biased language use through examining reasons behind style guides from big publications like the New York Time and the AP to ensure inclusivity and equity in writing or learning the official structure of journalism articles.
