Sustainability Prema is not just another vanilla plantation. Diversified activities include chicken farming, aquaculture and rice husking. And although it may sound distant and far less poetic than growing and producing vanilla beans, it is the byproduct of chicken farming that provides a 100% organic and vastly effective fertiliser for the previously sandy soil our farm is situated on. This way, the grinds of the local flora contribute to soil amendments as well. As to vanilla itself, our local technicians expert in anything from growing the plants, hand pollination, harvesting, boiling, drying and storing the vanilla beans, to safe and mold-free packaging of the pods, thus bringing into the world this exquisite product of such high demand.
