Prematria Foundation and Prematria LLC supports maternal and infant health starting with nutrition. Prematria Foundation and Prematria LLC vision is to improve maternal and infant health starting with preterm birth. Prematria Foundation and Prematria LLC mission is to decease the rate of preterm birth through awareness, prevention and treatment. Preterm birth is a live birth that occurs before 37 completed weeks of pregnancy. The preterm birth rate is 11%; approximately 15 million babies are born preterm annually worldwide. A key contributing factor to preterm labor and birth is nutrition and globally 13.8% of women do not receive any prenatal care where nutrition is prioritized. Additionally, recent studies of low-income urban women in the USA found less than 5% used prenatal supplements; lower rates are also reported in most developed and developing countries. Prenatal care always recommends prenatal multivitamin use before and during pregnancy which promotes healthy births. Prenatal care includes additional vitamin supplements containing the recommended ingredients of folic acid, Omega-3 fish oil and choline. The additional vitamin supplements further promote healthy neural tube support and healthy gestation, birth weight, brain and eye development. Donations to Prematria Foundation, a 501(3)(c) charity, will offset the cost of prenatal nutritional care for women. A donation will offset the cost of Prematria Prenatal Prenatal Vitamin Chews with Folic Acid and Omega-3 Fish Oil Softgel. The offset cost of prenatal vitamins will enable access and increased utilization to more women which will decrease the rate of preterm birth.
