Hannah Spence, our co-founder and Teach First Ambassador, unofficially founded Prep4Prospects in 2020 during the pandemic where she helped support children with their learning remotely. She began to discover that many of the parents and children had aspirations to go on to top independent and grammar schools but felt this was unattainable.
Having personally experienced barriers to progress and success to her ethnicity, Hannah retired her dream of becoming a Headteacher to become a full-time entrepreneur.
Through years of experience as a primary class teacher with an MA in Educational Leadership, Hannah ensures that her “tutees” receive engaging and bespoke lessons. What is unique is that all lessons are delivered remotely to ensure that regardless of location and commitments of families, children can learn beyond the classroom.
Prep4Prospects has now tutored over 30 clients, some of which have attained places in prestigious schools such as Plymouth College, Trinity Croydon, Croydon High School and Wilson’s.
At its heart, Prep4Prospects is a social enterprise, striving to support disadvantaged and BAME pupils to excel in their educational journey, overcome barriers to entry in top schools within the UK and in turn, improve their life prospects.
