Pressed Coffee was started with a passion for coffee, community, and entrepreneurship. As a Black woman born in Guyana and raised in Brooklyn, NY, supporting local, minority-owned businesses has always been important to me. So naturally, I wanted to create a space to celebrate it all. The ultimate goal is to open a café in Brooklyn and continue to support brands and communities of color. Pressed started as an idea and is now involved in a partnership with a family-owned farm in Costa Rica. The aim is to bring awareness to their craft and process, do my part to bolster a minority-owned business, and work together to create a signature roast blend.
