Prest Vale Architects

Prest Vale Architects is a Chartered Practice with the Royal Institute of British Architects founded by Richard Prest and Michael Vale. We deliver architectural and interior projects of varying use, for both private and commercial clients. A selection of our current projects include the refurbishment and extension of a 30,000sqft Grade II listed hotel on the edge of Hyde Park, a substantial renovation of a Livery Company office building in The City of London, the creation of a new luxury apartment building in central Kensington, as well as the internal remodelling of The Admiral's House at The Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, which is a World Heritage Site and a Grade I listed Scheduled Monument. A large number of our projects are in historic settings and involve working sensitively with listed buildings and protected landscapes. We are experienced in navigating the additional planning protections and possess the technical ability to work with such significant structures. The Practice has a long standing association with The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings and Richard Prest is among their scholars. Prest Vale Architects was founded by Richard Prest and Michael Vale, having previously worked for some of the best known Architects in the UK and overseas. They have a breadth of experience working on award winning residential, commercial and cultural projects. Richard and Michael studied at The Universities of Cambridge, Liverpool and The CASS School of Architecture. Among other internationally recognised Architects, they have previously worked with Professor Balkrishna Doshi, the recipient of the 2018 Pritzker Prize, as well as the Royal Academician, Eric Parry CBE. They remain committed to the promotion of architectural excellence and have lectured at a number of English and European Universities.
