Jascha Preuss focuses his practice on cross-border and domestic corporate, commercial and credit transactions. Jascha advises investors and companies on the formation and operation of subsidiaries, joint ventures and strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and asset sales. He drafts and negotiates a variety of commercial agreements as well as employment agreements and commercial leases. Jascha also represents businesses headquartered abroad as US outside general counsel and/or corporate secretary with regard to corporate governance, compliance, legal risk management and corporate housekeeping matters. He represents clients in international dispute resolution matters and manages the efforts of special litigation counsel.
Prior to founding Reiss+Preuss LLP, Jascha was associated with Wuersch & Gering LLP, focusing on cross-border corporate transactions and litigation, Mayer Brown LLP in New York, where he practiced in the Finance and Latin America Groups, and Thelen Reid & Priest LLP in New York, where he practiced international litigation and arbitration.
Before relocating to the United States, Jascha practiced with Wenger Plattner in Zurich, Switzerland, and clerked for the District Court of Zurich and the Claims Resolution Tribunal for Dormant Accounts in Switzerland. Jascha started his career as a research fellow and junior lecturer at Humboldt-University in Berlin.
