Faculty of Science UJEP

Faculty of Science of Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem (in Czech: Přírodovědecká fakulta Univerzity Jana Evangelisty Purkyně v Ústí nad Labem) is a relatively young, modern and rapidly developing institution, which is regularly rated amongst the top positions in the competition of Faculty of the year (category of natural sciences) in Czechia. The mission is providing an academic university education in the natural sciences, namely in biology, physics, geography, chemistry, mathematics, and in the field of information technology. The faculty offers university education at three degree levels (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Ph.D.) of the aforementioned fields and also has the right to offer habilitation procedures and procedures towards the nomination as professor in the field of Applied Physics. The faculty is significantly focused on research, provides a comprehensive background with top equipment and devotes special care to gifted students, who regularly receive motivational stipends and other scholarships.
